Keeping the social contract clear

We have several policies that are focused on the social contract you enter into when you play a game with us. In general, these policies only apply to you when you are IN GAME. You can read about them here:

In Game Leadership Policy

Refuge Portland requires anyone on the path of nobility, magistrate/reeve, and any guild master positions to miss no more than two games in a row, and miss no more than half the games in a year.

We are really trying to push for communication between the player and Plot, as we understand that life happens. The sooner we know you will not be at game the better.

What will happen if you miss more than two consecutive games, or half the games in a year is that your title will go under review.

If your title goes under review a few things can happen, and this will be a case by case basis. Depending on the circumstances one of the following three things can happen:

  1. You can maintain your title as it stood before missing the events.
  2. You can be demoted to a lower station.
  3. You can be stripped of your title.

We do not intend for this policy to be threatening. We very much enjoy and appreciate when you all come to game and we understand that people get sick or have vacations or kids. However, these positions are a leadership role so we expect you to be at game with those responsibilities.

If you are in a leadership position and will be missing events, please reach out to Plot at plot@refuge-larp-portland.com.
